Ellis Brigham is a family owned business which was established in 1933. The business began with a single store in Manchester and have expanded to 23 stores within the United Kingdom. They sell high end outdoor goods and some stores have much more to offer other than just shopping such as Vertical Chill Ice climbing walls, Indoor climbing walls and many of the stores are located within shopping centres which have indoor ski slopes and other varieties of experiences.
Interactive Projects and Design were appointed principal contractor responsible for the main fit out works within Soar, Braehead. Soar is the ultimate family entertainment destination combining ‘real’ snow slopes with urban and lifestyle retailers, cool bars and restaurants, cinema, family attractions and extreme activities, all under one roof.
Within this store IPD undertook partial refurbishment works and separation works. The partial refurbishment works were split into four phases. All phases were completed whilst the store was trading. Works included demolition of existing walls, building of new fire rated walls, joinery, flooring and decoration.
The separation works were also completed whilst the store was trading. The separation works were carried out in order for Ellis Brigham to give part of the store back to the centre in order to reduce the shop floor sales area. Works included cutting back of services including sprinklers/airconditioning, building a new full height fire rated wall, decoration and the installation of fixtures and fittings.
