Saks is the UK’s leading hair and beauty franchise salon group with an award-winning network of salons on the High Street and in health clubs. Saks is also renowned as an international leader in hairdressing and beauty training. IPD were appointed principal contractor to fit out a vacant unit which had been created from warehouse space within a shopping centre. We appointed and coordinated all trades including electrical, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing.
Stage 1 of the project was to survey the site and produce dimensional and technical drawings for building control, planning and advertising consent were applied for and approved.
Stage 2 was to complete the shell works on behalf of Land Securities which included full height frameless shopfront, floor raising, lift, sprinkler system and spiral staircase.
Stage 3 was to complete the internal fit out which included stud walls/linings, plasterboard skimmed ceilings, ceramic floor tiles, fixture installation, disabled facilities and decoration.
